Electrical Engineer
In addition to traditional development and production activities, the asset is involved in pioneering a number of new concepts like carbon capture and storage, and enhanced gas recovery using foam techniques and nitrogen injection. The asset’s future strategy is centered on becoming a world-class tail-end operator maximizing recovery at lowest possible cost, and new developments with innovative concepts and the use of standardized, modularized and re-deployable facilities. The new to be appointed Electrical Engineer provides technical support to maintenance on all matters relating to the system design, selection, specification and performance of all Electrical equipment. Responsibilities: You will manage the electrical competence scheme and will be part of the electrical engineering team and support the technical authority for electrical equipment.You provide technical specialist Engineering expertise & support. Give technical and commercial advice on all aspects of conceptual and detailed design,purchase and implementation of electrical systems and materials Give full support to the electrical engineering team lead. Provide technical assurance of the adequacy of designs prepared by Contractors and manage the given Electrical Maintenance Contracts.
You should have a Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering discipline or equivalent and possibly have is a registered Chartered Engineering status. For being successful in this role you should have experience in electrical (maintenance) Engineering, preferable in the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry. Knowledge of electrical engineering and maintenance. Knowledge in the design of electrical (power) systems, such as: VSDS, high voltage systems, cathodic protection, UPS etc. Understanding of technologies and practices as they relate to oil and gas production facilities. Demonstrable record of achievement. Good communicator in Dutch, preferably in English too.
